Session: Managing Meetings Effectively for Better Balance

Did you know that a huge population of tech-workers spend anywhere between 35% to 50% of the workdays in meetings? What is even more astonishing is that it could cost companies billions of dollars annually in terms of company time, if these meetings are not effective. Additionally, poorly conducted meetings over time, affect productivity and lead to work related stress and burnout. The issue is not in the number of meetings, but in the quality of the meetings. In this quick lightening session, I would like to share some strategies to make the most of the meetings. I hope to share 3 key take-aways in this talk:

Key Takeaways

  • 1. Checklist to determine if a meeting is necessary
  • 2. Understanding of different types of meetings and how to prepare for each kind
  • 3. Effective strategies to make meetings fun and engaging
