The US Bureau of Labor statistics shows the labor force participation rate—the percent of the population working or looking for work—for all mothers with children under age 18 was 71.2 percent in 2021. There is a large percentage of the workforce with often untapped secret powers. It's more important than ever to ensure we leverage the secret powers of Moms, especially in Tech roles. In these roles, Moms play an integral part in supporting the design application of products and services that directly impact us.

Bio

Roshni Bhagalia is Vice President of Product Management – Edison AI & Platform at GE Healthcare. In this role she leads a dynamic product team engaged in building a customizable, scalable and modular software platform and AI tools that underpin the next generation of HIPAA compliant healthcare applications. Edison AI & Platform is collectively responsible for enabling applications across almost all of GE Healthcare’s modalities and supports deployments on appliances, datacentres and in the cloud.

Roshni has more than a decade of experience in healthcare spanning both technical innovation and product development. Prior to her current role, Roshni was a senior scientist at the GE Research Centre specializing in image and data analysis, statistical methods, machine learning & AI. In addition to leading the Computed Tomography applications portfolio, Roshni led & co-developed research resulting in several new product introductions into medical devices and scanners. Her work has spanned application in radiology, clinical diagnostics, pathology and genomics. She has authored 25+ scientific publications, holds multiple patents and continues to be involved in the scientific community.

Roshni holds a M.S. and Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, specializing in image analytics, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Apart from concocting the next generation of healthcare solutions with her team, Roshni enjoys exploring the outdoors with friends and family.
