Session: Ethical AI in Debt Collection: Automating Compliance and Empathy in an Age-Old Industry
Behind the scenes, managers have a dashboard with real‑time KPIs, creditor management, call audits and performance analytics. Workflows are fully customizable, agencies can configure messaging standards, negotiation pathways and approval layers to match their own policies and regulatory requirements
Additional modules include AI agent management, call-audit tools, collections tracking, reporting, document storage, calendars, messaging history, and user‑management permissions. Built with compliance at its core, end‑to‑end encryption, audit trails and granular, role‑based access, DebtDone AI helps agencies reduce headcount and operational costs, increase recoveries and expand capacity.
In this session, I’ll discuss how we designed AI agents that are empathetic, compliant and effective. I’ll share lessons on orchestrating conversation workflows, preventing regulatory violations via auto‑flagging and guardrails, and why consumer-behaviour research suggests that 30–40 % of debtors respond more positively to AI agents than to traditional collection calls. The talk will also cover challenges in scaling AI for regulated industries, including data security, fairness and oversight.
