Session: Leading the Human Side of the AI Race - From Resistance to Results

As a Director of QA and DevOps, I have found that the race to adopt AI is a constant sprint. While the industry focuses on new tools and frameworks, the real challenge exists on the front lines—in the "trench." My organization, like so many others, is working hard to catch up, but this journey is less about technology and more about people.
This talk will delve into the critical, and often overlooked, human challenges of implementing AI. How do you lead a multi-geographical team with diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and deeply rooted opinions about AI? How do you move a team from resistance to results, and how do you align skeptical cross-functional partners to support these changes?
I will share practical takeaways and proven tips from my own experience navigating this transition. More than just a discussion of tech, this session will focus on the leadership strategies necessary to bring everyone to the table. We will explore what truly matters for successful change—is it the tech sessions, the tools, or the frameworks, or is it something else entirely? Join me to learn how to turn the resistance of today into tomorrow's results.

Key Takeaways

  • Audience will learn practical tips for leading a diverse, multi-geographical team and addressing their varied mindsets on AI.
  • Strategies for moving their team from a state of resistance to one of tangible results.
  • The talk will provide guidance on how to secure support from skeptical cross-functional partners.
  • The audience will be challenged to re-evaluate their priorities, focusing on leadership and people rather than solely on technical tools and frameworks.
