As an artist, Sharenda was intrigued by the immersive nature of VR and how it can bridge the gap between physical and virtual art through augmented reality (AR). To realize her vision, Sharenda has been learning Unity and Blender to create an AR app that can transform her physical product into a digital experience. She will discuss the challenges and lessons learned during her journey and how others can leverage VR and AR to enhance their own businesses. Bio
I'm Shay, a mother of four, home school teacher and fulltime artist. My creative mind is my greatest gift of the divine and contribution to society. I've been doing commission work since high school with all kinds of mediums. It has been a solid side business while working various jobs, learning many different skills, over the years. During the pandemic, I lost my non-essential job, so I decided to invest in equipment, supplies and proper licenses to do what I do best full time- create art! Last year, I discovered how my artistic skill and services could be enhanced with virtual technology while also growing within a community of supportive women. This year I'm working to integrate this technology more fully with my physical services.
