Session: Breaking the binary: Why organisations must embrace Quantum Computing now!
Join in to break the binary of classical computing and start exploring the potential of quantum computing.
In this session, we will explore how organisations can experiment with quantum computing on an on-demand basis and understand how far-reaching quantum will be within their industries. We will look at some applications of quantum computing in the finance industry and discuss the challenges involved in implementing them.
In addition, through a Azure Quantum workspaces demo, we will dive deep into how organisations can use Quantum Computing as a Service (QCAAS) to gain access to quantum computing resources without having to make large investments in hardware or infrastructure.
- High level understanding Quantum Concepts
- How to prepare for and harness quantum computing in financial scenarios
- How can organisations build culture of experimentation and stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly-evolving field
Teena Idnani is a Principal Engineer at Investec based out of London. As a certified Azure Solutions Architect, she excels in building scalable cloud-native architectures and is a key player in uplifting engineering practices across Investec. In her current role, she enables various teams as they migrate and modernise their applications on Azure. She is also actively engaged in exploring potential applications of Quantum computing in finance and building Quantum workforce at Investec. While leading research efforts in Quantum applications at the bank she is pushing the boundaries of what is possible and driving Investec's innovation in this field.
Rhian Letts heads up technology strategy across the Investec Group working alongside the Group CIO. She looks after the implementation of our strategy as well as areas of innovation and transformational change. Before her time in financial services, she studied physics specialising with a masters in Astrophysics so naturally has been following the developments in quantum computing over the last few years. As part of her role, she has been tasked with digging deeper into the potential of quantum computing, taking more people on the journey to see what practical use cases and benefits it can bring the financial services industry and Investec.
