Bio

Moderator:
Kimberly Bailey is a history maker and visionary leader who has spent her career breaking barriers, driving innovation, and inspiring the next generation. She made history as the first female Chief Information Officer for the City of Memphis, leading modernization efforts and expanding digital access. Today, she serves as Vice President of Information Technology and CIO at LeMoyne-Owen College, shaping the future of Black tech leadership.

A proud native of Memphis, Bailey holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Christian Brothers University and an MS in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Bellevue University. She has held leadership roles with organizations including the Memphis Grizzlies, Technicolor, AutoZone, and CBRE, and is also the creator of the Color and Read children’s book series, which celebrates African American achievements through storytelling.

Her accolades include 2024 MEMTech Trailblazer Honoree, 2025 TennesseeCIO ORBIE Award Nominee, and recognition from the Memphis Business Journal and Women in IT Summit and Awards. Through every role, Kimberly Bailey proves that technology is not just about systems, it is about people, progress, and creating a future where everyone has a seat at the table.

Speakers:

Kate Kollerer is the Chief Operations and Technology Officer at Face Reality Skincare, where she partners closely with the executive team to translate business strategy into scalable systems, disciplined execution, and resilient operating models. She oversees end‑to‑end operations and technology, including supply chain, manufacturing, digital commerce, IT, clinic operations, and the Project Management Office, with a focus on prioritization, capital‑efficient growth, and practical adoption of AI.

Kate is known for integrating operations and technology to turn complexity into clarity and strategy into repeatable execution. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Rodan + Fields, where she led global expansions, replatformed e‑commerce and core IT systems, and built technology foundations designed to scale.
A core part of Kate’s leadership philosophy is building motivated, high‑performing teams. She believes the strongest results come from clarity, trust, and momentum, paired with a culture that values ownership, recognition, and genuine enjoyment of the work.

Emily Xu is the Chief Digital and Information Officer at Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC). Xu is responsible for modernizing enterprise technology, including migrating IT infrastructure from on-premise to cloud, unifying enterprise data and analytic platforms, increasing supply chain visibility and automation, and leading digital transformation through technology and AI. Xu’s and her team’s AI-driven upgrades to the company’s e-commerce platform earned more revenue in her first year than two previous years combined, and in 2024, surpassed $1 billion. Before joining RNDC, Emily served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Mitchell Gold Bob Williams (MGBW), a luxury home furnishing retailer and manufacturer, where she was instrumental in shaping the brand's strategy, creative direction, and digital acceleration, both during and post-pandemic. In 2024, Ragan Communications recognized Xu as a Top Woman in Tech/Digital Marketing. Xu holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois, and a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University, China.

Vidya Shankaran is the Field CTO for Cloud, Security, Cyber Resilience and Emerging Technology solutions at Commvault. A seasoned technologist, she delivers customer value, through pragmatic outcome-based results. Vidya has 2 decades plus years of global experience; This has helped her understand and gain unique perspective on the real-world challenges of IT customers supporting businesses from data management and business continuity point of view.

As a certified CISSP member and Forbes Technology Council member, Vidya helps customers and partners strategize and architect towards Cyber Resilience and Recoverability at the forefront. As a thought leader, she ensures a Compliance centric approach to AI adoption and other emerging technologies while ensuring a seamless integration of Commvault’s solutions in customers’ data architecture. She won the “CIO/CTO of the year 2024” Global Awards by “Women Tech Network” for her contributions to Commvault and industry at large.
