Session: Harnessing the Power of 'Us': Proven Strategies for Women to Thrive in Tech

Women in tech often navigate unique challenges, from being underrepresented in meetings to feeling isolated in male-dominated spaces. But the power to foster belonging starts with you.

This program goes beyond the surface-level discussions of workplace culture to provide practical, research-backed strategies you can implement immediately—no need to wait for leadership to act. Learn how to create an environment where women feel heard, valued, and supported, using Wendy’s Energy of Belonging© framework and research-backed behaviors that drive belonging.

Discover how small, intentional actions—from amplifying each other’s voices to creating psychologically safe spaces—can transform team dynamics and help women in tech thrive. Whether you’re an individual contributor, manager, or executive, you have the power to build a workplace where everyone belongs.

Key Takeaways

  • Practice using the belonging ideas at work to foster a stronger sense of connection to your colleagues and your work
  • Experiment with simple strategies to demonstrate your respect for your colleagues and expecting respect from others
  • Develop strategies for fostering psychological safety in your own work community
  • Identify several of the specific behaviors that foster a sense of belonging in your own organization
