Session: 'When Buildings Begin to Think'
As AI moves from digital interfaces into physical environments, a new paradigm is emerging — Vertical Intelligence. This concept explores how buildings can evolve from static structures into cognitive systems that perceive, learn and respond to their surroundings. Integrating AI, data and design, intelligent buildings are beginning to anticipate human needs, optimize energy use and even adapt their behavior in real time. This talk examines how architecture and technology converge to create environments that think with us, not just for us. Through case studies, research insights and future scenarios, the session redefines the built environment as an active, learning participant in human experience, a new form of intelligence rising within the vertical spaces we inhabit.
