Session: FinOps for AI & AI for FinOps: Driving Governance, Efficiency & Business Value in the AI Era
AI is exploding across the enterprise—and so are the bills. GPUs, tokens. AI platforms introduce new cost drivers that traditional FinOps wasn’t designed for. At the same time, AI gives FinOps new superpowers in automation, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
This session shows how to evolve FinOps for AI and use AI to scale FinOps.
We’ll cover:
AI governance & FinOps’ role – where FinOps plugs into AI standards, policies, and guardrails.
AI inventory & token-based showback – tracking AI apps, token usage, and cost per outcome.
Centralized vs. federated AI models – and what each means for chargeback and accountability.
Unit economics & build vs. buy – understanding cost per customer, interaction, or workflow.
AI for FinOps – using AI to surface insights, automate reviews, and tell better cost/value stories.
Attendees will leave with practical patterns, lessons learned, and questions to bring back to their AI and cloud leadership teams.
