The economic arena is witnessing rapid and continuous changes, forcing the economic institutions to make radical changes in the patterns of management, production, finance and marketing, as well as other areas in order to bring about harmony between the institution and its environment, and the market study is considered a strategic tool that can facilitate the institution to deal with environmental variables and adaptation With it, because of the marketing information it provides, it supports the rationalization of marketing management decisions.
The study of the market is a modern and dynamic method that enables to understand and follow the development of markets. It is a theoretical and practical activity at the same time that helps to identify the needs and behaviors of the various components of the market .
We are trying through this talk to highlight the role of market study in providing marketing information and what are the most important methods used in that.
In this talk ,we will be dealing with the concept of the market and its characteristics knowing the relationship between the institution and the market and clarifying the importance of the market for the institution, types of market studies, which are divided into two parts, quantitative and qualitative, and then to answer the approach of designing market studies.
This talk aims to:
Highlighting the place of market study in marketing research, and its importance in supporting marketing decisions in the organization.
- Knowing the importance of studying the market in the institution.
Familiarity with the market study method.
A comparison between the different data collection methods.
Identify the survey as one of the most important methods of data collection in a market study.
- Familiarity with the methods of statistical analysis of data.
