Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Our Software Infrastructure Services team builds and operates internal platform services for Akamai's cloud compute platform. Our software supports the command and control systems for Akamai's connected cloud. The Orchestration team will focus on systems that deploy VMs, storage, load balancers and other resources for customers.

We're looking for a talented engineer for our Orchestration team in India. You will develop new services and modify existing services and software.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing services and APIs to execute requests across Akamai's global infrastructure
• Building and deploying secure, scalable, elastic, manageable and reliable solutions using open source components
• Developing new services and modifying existing services in Go, Python and Perl programming languages
• Driving the SDLC from requirements through deployment
• Troubleshooting problems with the deployed system
• Collaborating with the various testing, operations, and development teams that work on the system

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have responsibility for a large and complex software system, codebase, or product
• Have the ability to write clear, maintainable, secure, and highly reliable code
• Have experience in Go programming language and some background in Python and Perl
• Experience in Linux including deep system
• Experience Service oriented architecture and distributed systems
• Have experience in Networking & Databases.
