Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Commercial Account Manager is to achieve the assigned territory revenue goals by managing pipeline of sales opportunities through the sales process from prospect to close. As a customer-facing seller, you will have ownership of all elements of revenue growth within your Named Commercial territory. This includes discovering and developing new opportunities, managing pipeline, and managing customer growth. This role is quota-driven and will represent NetApp in top Named Commercial accounts within the territory while working with partners, your aligned Commercial Territory Representative, Sales Development Representatives, Account Technology Specialists, Customer Success Managers, and Renewal Specialists to exceed overall sales objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of overall account strategy for the pursuit of both traditional and transformational opportunities
  • Account planning with core account teams, incorporating overall account strategy, identification of transformational pursuits, stakeholder mapping, and stakeholder pursuit strategy
  • Pursue and develop relationships with customer stakeholders, including C-level executives
  • Develop, pursue, and close strategic traditional, and transformational sales opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners
  • Support formal RFP's - functioning as the business lead for solution development, pricing & strategy
  • Meet or exceed semiannual sales goals
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive market positioning relative to NetApp solutions

Qualifications

  • Must live in Pennsylvania, E. PA area
  • 5+ years Account Management experience in a relevant industry with commercial or enterprise customers
  • Ability to work independently and solve customer-facing problems
  • Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions
  • Track record of successful solution selling
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

The salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations is $228,000 - $278,000 total on target earnings. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
