The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for kick starting the sales process by seeking out and meeting with potential customers and establishing a foundation for future growth at New Relic.​ SDRs will support designated Account Executives to bring in qualified leads who see value in New Relic’s solutions.

What you'll do
  • Actively prospecting new clients and pitching New Relic solutions and services – Identify and prioritize potential leads through research and networking. Craft compelling pitches tailored to the needs and pain points of each prospect.
  • Managing target number of customer interactions – Schedule and conduct regular outreach activities such as calls, emails, and meetings to maintain engagement with clients. Track and monitor interactions to ensure progress towards meeting specified targets and goals.
  • Identifying opportunities where prospect can be transferred to a discovery – Recognize key indicators or triggers that suggest a prospect is ready to move into a deeper discovery phase. Seamlessly transition prospects to discovery conversations by asking insightful questions and actively listening to their responses.
  • Gathering information about potential clients – Conduct thorough research on prospective clients to understand their industry, challenges, and objectives. Use various sources such as social media, company websites, and industry reports to gather relevant information and insights.
  • Leveraging marketing material to engage with customers and establish relationship – Utilize marketing collateral such as case studies, whitepapers, and product demos to supplement sales pitches and conversations. Share relevant marketing materials with customers to provide additional value and support during the relationship-building process.
This role requires
  • 1+ years of sales experience (prior BDR SaaS sales experience preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of the marketplace for QMS and MES solutions
  • Advanced critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
  • Passion for sales
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
