Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the job:

Synopsys is looking for a motivated individual to work in our Silicon Lifecycle Analytics Operations team. As Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will play a key role in designing and developing programmatic infrastructure and automation to build, maintain and improve the Synopsys Silicon Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy and maintain public cloud and private infrastructure to support Synopsys SaaS offerings

Automate - as much as possible - all technical operations

Set up monitoring, logging and tracing tools to detect and fix any potential issues

Troubleshoot cloud/on-premise infrastructure, systems, network and application stacks

 

Skills and Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science/Information Technology. MS is preferred

5+ years of experience in software engineering, operations engineering or similar discipline

Good communication skills, ability to interact with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in English

 

Technical background:

Solid knowledge in Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Docker and Nginx

Significant experience in managing Ceph, Cassandra and Elasticsearch clusters

Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Kustomize, Puppet, Terraform/Ansible...)

Experience with Linux operating systems

Knowledge of one or more languages (Python, Go, Perl, Java...)

Experience building scalable infrastructure in one public cloud provider is a distinct advantage

Knowledge in Jenkins or similar tool for CI/CD is an advantage
