Senior Software Engineer - Edge & Application Networking Automation Frameworks Team

Edge & Application Networking Automation Frameworks team designs and develops automation frameworks, efficiency improvement tools and complex automation libraries using Python for teams working on Akamai Delivery, Web, Origin Services and Edge Computing products.

Ensure world class Delivery performance 

You will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a distributed systems environment.   You will ensure the exceptional performance of the products used to deliver the world's largest OTT events.As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for:Designing, developing and enhancing the automation frameworks used by the Product testing and development teams Collaborate closely with Product stakeholders in creating the automation infrastructure to replicate real world scenariosReviewing product & system design requirements to come up with efficient automation frameworks or libraries Evangelizing the automation frameworks and tools across AkamaiAble to work on multiple projects in parallel

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent experience. 4-5 years of work experience is preferred.

Have exposure to Container technologies like Dockers, Kubernetes etc.

Good understanding of SDLC, contemporary QA/test principles, methodologies, techniques with regards to white box testing and test automation are needed

Experience using GIT and/or Perforce for version control

Be passionate about solving large scale distributed systems problems using Data Structures and complex Algorithms.

Have exposure and/or interest in working with internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
