The Bloomberg Core Terminal business delivers cross-asset class data and workflows through one unified system that connects data, news, analytics, and people to enable our clients to manage the most critical areas of their business. Within our Core Terminal business, Fixed Income is a key priority. As we look to build on the value proposition our clients have come to depend on, we will continue to drive thought leadership and remain a key partner to our clients through continuous innovation. 

As part of the Fixed Income Primary Markets team, you will be focused on providing our clients with all the tools they need to identify, analyze, track and participate in all newly created securities across a wide range of asset classes, including bonds (privately placed, syndicated and auctioned), loans, munis and securitized products.

To drive success, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple Product, Data and Engineering teams. You will also need to embrace values that are core to our business and drive how we approach and partner with our clients to build solutions that address their most critical challenges in a timely and reliable manner.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Develop a clear vision for your product(s), articulating how it solves problems and delivers value to our clients
  • Work with key internal stakeholders across Bloomberg, including Enterprise Product and Enterprise Data, to understand the combined fixed income primary market requirements. 
  • Work with Market Specialists and Analytics to maintain a high level of client outreach and bring client stakeholders together to discuss market developments and requirements.
  • Work with the Data team to improve the coverage and timeliness of data capture and dissemination across all fixed income markets.
  • Work with our clients and the Engineering team to enhance and build out the Fixed Income Primary Market monitors 
  • Expand and build out our next generation of market analytics functionality across fixed income. 
  • Work with Bloomberg Intelligence, News and other stakeholders to build awareness around the primary market solutions we offer to clients  
  • Deeply understand our clients’ needs, problems, and workflows, as well as our competitive environment and market conditions
  • Work with large sales teams as well as directly with clients  
  • Identify and track strategic goals, outcomes, and key success metrics to measure impact.
  • Focus on ease of use where we deliver interoperability, consistency, and alignment across all parts of our offering. 
  • Develop a roadmap and lead execution through an agile development process, documenting requirements in our internal systems.
  • Influence your teammates, colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives through your use of data
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to develop materials and promote releasable product(s) to clients and to help build Bloomberg's brand.

You’ll need to have: 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience*  
  • Significant product and domain knowledge in fixed income primary markets gained from a role at a firm actively involved in those markets – preferably a sellside syndicate/DCM role or buyside trading role.
  • Fluency with data and understanding of product metrics.
  • Ability to create strategic goals, prioritize outcomes, and develop roadmaps.
  • Experience in project management, strong organizational skills, and an ability to map dependencies.
  • Proven technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • An ability to understand other team's business goals and find mutually beneficial solutions. 
  • A good understanding of market structure and the many factors impacting our clients as they look to better deliver to their constituents.
  • Ability to develop relationships and engagement without direct reporting line authority.
