Leadership is not a job title, it’s a choice.Leading a team requires a lot of tweaking, processes establishment, course correcting, and initiative. Even though the percentage of women in the talent pipeline has steadily increased over the last 3 decades, there are still large gender gaps from entry-level through to top-executive positions. In tech, women hold only 30% of the entry-level roles and approximately 7% of major leadership positions (in the US and Europe).
What it costs to be a woman leader and mentoring others, while overcoming adversities in the IT field? The leadership gender gap is persistent and pervasive, but solvable.
