Job Description:
We are looking for a solid technical individual contributor to help undertake existing and some next generation DDR/HBM memory interface PHY IP development. The candidate should have expertise in source synchronous systems, considerable practical experience with several designs under their belt who has interests in the area of high-speed, DDR/HBM memory interface design at the IC level. This position will be responsible for Engineering Document creation and maintenance, design reviews and general contributions to the development of existing and next-generation physical layer interfaces for DDR/HBM memory. To be successful in this position, you can develop and maintain schedules and work in cross-functional settings while being proficient in design and verification. We will rely on your ability to multi-task in client support requests from time to time. You should also be familiar with analog mixed-signal simulation strategies and having a good knowledge of Signal Integrity and/or Power Integrity is a plus.
Requirements

  • This position typically requires a minimum of 15+ years of related experience, you must possess a full understanding of high-speed analog/digital design areas (ie. Could be, but not limited to, transceivers, DDR/HBM, etc) and have working knowledge of multiple related areas that include DDR/HBM, SerDes and/or communication interfaces.
  • You will also be required to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways; exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions; perform in project leadership role and contributes to complex aspects of a project.
  • Furthermore, you will need to be self-supporting and will occasionally receive general instructions on new assignments and projects.
  • You will need to establish and develops approach to solutions while work is independent and collaborative in nature.
  • In this position, you will also be responsible for providing regular weekly updates to your manager on project status; representing the organization on business unit and/or companywide projects; guiding more junior peers with aspects of their job and frequently networking with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

  • You have leadership qualities, have lead developments, and you must have a solid desire to learn and explore new technologies while demonstrating good analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • You will be required to mentor more junior resources while extracting the best out of the more senior ones. Prior knowledge and experience in IC CAD tool usage is a must; specifically, HSPICE, Matlab/Simulink as well as a standard knowledge in exercising mixed signal verification flow (DRC, LVS, etc).
  • Manages the coordination of activities of a function with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees through subordinate supervisors.
  • Possesses a full understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of multiple related areas.
  • Customarily manages the coordination of the activities of a department with responsibility for priority-setting and results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Acts as an advisor to employees to meet schedules and/or resolve problems.
  • Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements for department.
  • Regularly receives assignments in the form of goals and uses discretion and independent judgment to establish how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
  • Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Interacts with senior internal personnel, functional peer group managers, and external customers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company.
  • Drives a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $187,000-$281,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
