Culture at Kyndryl

When we launched Kyndryl, we set out to define a culture that encompasses our desire to create shared success for employees, customers, investors and partners. This journey included a multi-day culture exchange open to all Kyndryls around the world and culminated in the formulation of The Kyndryl Way.

The Kyndryl Way is a set of six key principles that define our services-based culture: We want to be restless, empathetic and devoted in the way we engage with one another, our customers, partners and communities; and we want to organize ourselves to work in a way that is flat, fast and focused to better serve our customers as a true services organization.

The Kyndryl Way is about how Kyndryls work together and deliver value, and has been foundational to our business growth.

We focus continuously on building the culture we want for our employees and to support this we set up our Culture Ambassador Network. This is a community of employee change champions working to help Kyndryl build and activate its aspirational culture. Kyndryl Culture Ambassadors live, breathe and personify The Kyndryl Way. With over 1000 Ambassadors across 41 countries, the program provides a great opportunity for our employees to influence our culture in the future.  

Career and skills development are at the heart of Kyndryl and an essential part of The Kyndryl Way.  Our employee learning programs provide access to some of the best learning in the industry and certifications for Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Skillsoft and many more. 30,000 employees have received certificates from our alliance partners like VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, Azure and AWS.

Kyndryl Compass empowers all our employees to define their goals, review progress and get feedback from colleagues and managers throughout the year. They can also conduct skills self-assessments to define the next steps in their development and careers.  

Our global mentorship program provides Kyndryls with the access and opportunity to have mentors across the business who can play an invaluable role in supporting and shaping their future career journey.
