From my perspective, the safe and supportive reporting mechanisms companies have in place should also include safe and supportive relationships. These relationships help foster the environment for anyone to feel safe to report harassment and discrimination. Without trusted relationships amongst peers and management, one could feel discouraged or afraid to speak up.
