R&D Engineer, Staff Engineer

Responsible for designing, developing, and debugging software programs. Deliver high quality software tools, infrastructure, data models, user interfaces with EoU. Implementing and troubleshooting of flexible systems for Chip Design, 3DIC, Multi-Physics analyses, artificial intelligence, complex EDA software.

Experience in programming software for systems, implementing innovating UX, designed for reuse UI and GUI, scalable software architecture. Designs EDA algorithms, databases, application programming interfaces. Proficiency in development of complex software projects, strong in C/C++ and Tcl/Python/Unix coding, reusable code components and flexible infrastructure with focus on quality. Proven background in data structures, multi-threading, and distributed processing. Knowledge of physical design implementation, chip, multi-die, and system-level designs. Understanding of Multi-Physics analyses, incl Thermal, IR, Power Integrity, Circuit Simulation, device modeling, or other related EDA areas is a plus. Ability to work efficiently as part of a global team, collaborating tightly with peers within, and across the groups. Self-motivated individual independently solves open-ended problems and handle tasks in parallel. Clear in written and oral communication skills. Has agility to learn and explore new technologies, next level innovations, demonstrates good analysis, and problem-solving skills. Prior knowledge and experience of CAD/EDA tool development are required.

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Usually developing professional expertise, and may apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. At a minimum, has working knowledge of work area and general proficiency with EDA tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Contacts are primarily within business unit and occasional organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.
