Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the cultures, histories, and contributions of people with roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and other Spanish-speaking communities around the world. It is a celebration of a rich and diverse heritage that spans countries, cultures, and generations.
In technology, Hispanic women are building, researching, engineering, and innovating across some of the fields shaping our future. Yet their representation remains strikingly small: Hispanic and Latina women account for just 2% of the U.S. computing workforce.
At WomenTech Network, we’re continuing our annual Hispanic Heritage Month spotlight by celebrating 30 remarkable Hispanic women in tech. From artificial intelligence and software engineering to cybersecurity, data, cloud, and emerging technologies, these women are developing products, advancing research, solving complex technical challenges, and helping shape what comes next.
Presented alphabetically, this year’s list celebrates their expertise, achievements, and contributions to technology while highlighting the breadth of Hispanic talent across the industry.
Alicia Abella

Alicia Abella, Ph.D., is a senior executive and innovative thinker who has developed and deployed AI systems, led telecommunications initiatives, and guided organizations through significant technological and cultural change. Over a 25-year career at Bell Labs, she published scientific papers, received 29 patents, and worked on complex, cutting-edge technologies. Ana Corrales

As a leader in Latinas in Tech, she supports and empowers Latinas through networking, mentoring, and event programming for more than 1,000 members. Christina Cuarón

Christina Cuarón is a senior transformation and COO executive with more than 26 years of experience across technology, risk, compliance, and investment banking. She has led enterprise-wide modernization and complex operating organizations, combining technology transformation with responsibility for strategy, financial management, workforce, risk, resilience, governance, and execution. Christina currently leads Group Technology Infrastructure Transformation at Deutsche Bank and previously served as COO for Core Technology Infrastructure at Bank of America. Cynthia Maxwell

Deborah Berebichez

Deborah Berebichez is a physicist, AI leader, and Stanford PhD who has built and commercialized enterprise AI products for complex, regulated industries. She has led large multidisciplinary teams, managed a $14 million AI product portfolio, developed a $46 million pipeline, and helped deliver AI products serving more than 400,000 users. Her work includes architecting a governed financial-crime platform that reduced AML false positives from 53% to 7% while preserving explainability and human oversight. As the first Mexican woman to earn a PhD in Physics from Stanford, she also advocates for greater representation in technology, emphasizing the importance of including women and underrepresented communities in the design of responsible AI systems.
