As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?
Winning the Software Engineering Leader of the Year award, specifically in the category “Inclusive Leadership & Mentorship” is meaningful to me because it honors my technical achievements and the values I uphold: inclusion, empathy, and community upliftment.
My path in technology has been defined by persistent learning, growth, and leadership, as well as a strong commitment to helping others rise, especially women in tech. I’ve strived to empower fellow tech professionals through technical skilling, mentoring women navigating tech careers, and creating environments where diverse voices can contribute.
This recognition reflects my dedication to building secure, modern engineering solutions while ensuring people feel supported and seen along the way. To me, this award symbolizes the impact that purposeful leadership can have.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
The most rewarding aspect of tech is its ability to create meaningful change - for organizations as well as individuals. As technology evolves constantly, with every new capability we can find an opportunity to solve real problems, improve experiences, and raise the bar for what’s possible.
This sense of impact has shaped my career. Whether I’m designing cloud-first endpoint solutions, or sharing knowledge with the global community, I’m inspired by how technology can enhance the work of people and unlock growth for those learning. Knowing that my contributions help others succeed inspires me to continually strive for excellence. I thrive by collaborating with professionals who share my interest in technology and create meaningful change.
My Tech Career Milestone
Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
A defining moment for me was earning a Manager title within just a few months of starting a new role at an organization. It was especially meaningful because it reaffirmed that hard work, technical excellence, and strategic thinking truly do translate into tangible outcomes.
In that short period, I took initiative to deeply understand the technical platform that was in place, explored, and helped implement new technical capabilities, and focused on delivering measurable value, on time and with high quality. I also made a deliberate effort to be visible in the right ways: communicating clearly, collaborating cross-functionally, and consistently demonstrating ownership and a drive to improve outcomes for both the team and the organization.
Having that effort recognized so quickly reinforced that when you combine strong engineering execution with purposeful leadership and accountability, you can accelerate impact, and your growth follows.
Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips
From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
I strongly believe in continuous learning and growth. Tech evolves quickly, and so staying curious is the superpower. Invest in continuous learning.
Build a support system consisting of peers, allies, mentors, and sponsors.
Your perspective is valuable, and diverse voices push innovation forward. So speak up and don’t hesitate to take space.
Say yes to opportunities before you feel ready. Confidence follows action.
Give back as you grow. Teaching, sharing, and lifting others strengthens your own expertise in the process, and shapes the culture of tech for the better.
Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network, and why?
I would encourage any woman in tech, at any stage of her journey, as well as allies who support women in tech, to join the WomenTech Network. Such diversity is what enriches the community.
This is a community that offers connection, mentorship, inspiration, and opportunities to grow, while celebrating the full spectrum of technical and leadership talent.
