1. Are you excited to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference, and what motivated you to join our community of 200,000 women in tech and allies?
I’m very motivated to share a practical perspective on AI that goes beyond theory. Many professionals are curious about AI but unsure how to move from consumption to creation. This session demonstrates how structured thinking, not technical background, is the true unlock. My goal is to make AI feel accessible, rigorous, and immediately applicable—especially for non-coders who want to prototype real tools. I’ve previously spoken at Women in Tech forums where I presented a paper I co-authored on GenAI adoption and care deeply about creating inclusive spaces where emerging technology feels approachable and actionable, not intimidating.
2. Share with us your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction.
I was born and raised in India, where I began my career at ZS, a sales and marketing consulting firm. I enjoyed turning data into insights that shaped business decisions, but I wanted to be closer to strategy and client-facing leadership. That urge led me to pursue an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, after which I joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG). While at BCG Mumbai, I gravitated toward client projects in the tech sector, which led to the opportunity to relocate to San Francisco and later to Seattle — the epicenters of the tech world. I really enjoyed partnering with senior executives at high-growth and Fortune 100 B2B tech companies like Microsoft, working on go-to-market strategy and operational excellence to drive growth. Inspired by the innovation happening in AI, I decided to join Microsoft full-time in the Revenue Strategy organization to lead strategic initiatives for their Commercial business. It was a natural step from advising tech leaders to building within the industry.
3. Why is the topic “Vibecoding an App: Building personal scalable systems with AI” important to you?
I’m passionate about this topic because, for years, I’ve been deeply interested in productivity, behavioral design, and building my own analog systems to enable discipline and sustained growth. However, those analog systems were not scalable for identifying trends over time, and I couldn’t find apps in the App Store that were easily searchable, affordable, or customizable enough to suit my unique needs. AI has now made it possible to build your own personal apps — even without a traditional technical background. I want to help others see that this is accessible and empower them to benefit in ways that suit their individual needs. The future of bespoke, personal software is here.
4. Who would you advise to attend the Women in Tech Global Conference, and why?
Anyone working in tech — across product, strategy, marketing, operations, sales, or engineering — as well as professionals who are curious about tech but don’t come from a technical background, should attend the conference. The future of technology will not be built by engineers alone; it will be equally shaped by operators, strategists, creatives, and domain experts who understand real-world problems and can now use AI to prototype solutions.
