1. What continues to inspire you to champion women in technology, and how has your journey with the network evolved over the years?
My passion is driven by a simple, fundamental truth: Diversity isn't just a cultural benefit; it's essential for market leadership and for sustaining a competitive advantage.
For any global tech business to innovate and capture new markets, our products and strategy must reflect the complexity of our customer base. Advancing women is therefore not a 'nice-to-have,' but a critical business necessity.
My involvement with the network has naturally evolved from a personal, mentorship-driven activity into a scalable strategic resource development. Initially, the focus was on individual skill-building support. Now, I'm utilizing a direct pipeline for future leadership and enhancing a core engine for innovation.
Ultimately, our Community is more than just a cultural asset. It's a measurable contributor to the bottom line and a key way we protect and build our future talent supply.
2. Share with us more of your journey, your background, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction.
My journey began with Finance and Auditing, and transitioned to executive leadership in Tech, since I've realized that maximizing shareholder value relies on optimizing human capital at scale. For the last eight years, I've been dedicated to scaling high-growth Tech Βusinesses globally, including successfully launching and exiting my own venture. This experience taught me that organizational health and talent empowerment are the most reliable accelerators of market expansion.
Certainly, translating human potential into uncompromising business performance is extremely prosperous yet challenging. Thus, I focus on individual alignment with strategic objectives while structuring high-performance, resilient environments.
Ultimately, my drive comes from seeing that people's potential is the most fruitful investment a company can make. It is a genuinely measurable asset that delivers exponential returns on long-term business growth.
3. Who would you advise to join WomenTech Network and why?
While Women Tech Net benefits everyone, the highest ROI is captured by those who view it as a strategic platform for career acceleration and immediate commercial leverage, not simply as a general support group. But as an investment in their executive trajectory and impact.
Thus, I strongly recommend any high-potential woman in a pivotal function (Engineering, Product, Marketing, or Sales) who is within a mid-senior cycle and seeks to de-risk her path to executive leadership. Our network provides the platform to engage with current C-suite members, understand boardroom dynamics, enhance strategic visibility, and accelerate sponsorships.
I also advise women developing new ventures to join, whether they are founders or intrapreneurials leading business units within a larger corporation. Οur community functions as a business development hub through which you can secure strategic partnerships, find early adopters, and accelerate your market fit. Besides immediately gaining a commercial ecosystem and connecting directly to top-line growth opportunities, these are only some of Women Tech Net's attributes.
4. How do you envision creating more opportunities for women in tech across the Athens region?
My vision for expanding opportunities for women in the Athens tech ecosystem is centered on treating the challenge as a direct investment strategy designed to enhance the region's overall competitive positioning.
Given Athens' explosive growth, scientific talent pool, and need to address funding gaps, our focus should be on launching targeted programs that align with high-growth sectors in Athens, such as AI, Deep Tech, EduTech, and HealthTec, where the demand for highly skilled professionals is highest. Partnering with leading Universities and Incubators is a great start to enhance market-validated skills, technology commercialization, venture funding readiness, and go-to-market strategy.
Another way to multiply opportunities in our sector is through Corporate Sponsorship and Retention. The challenge in Athens is often not entry, but senior-level promotion. Structured sponsorship programs within the scale-up firms that dominate Athens’ landscape allow local C-suite leaders to shine by elevating high-potential mid-career women into Director and VP roles, and are enriching the overall organizational strategy.
By focusing on these integrated levers, we can transform general empowerment into a measurable economic strategy that ensures Athens’ technological future is built on gender parity.
