    Tracie Cleveland Thomas is a senior executive with 25+ years of experience driving enterprise transformation, digital innovation, and AI adoption across financial services, insurance, automotive, and government industries. As one of the few Black women to rise to senior technology leadership, she has led large-scale initiatives in data, automation, and emerging technologies that improved efficiency and reduced risk. She also serves on several boards, including founding and co-leading DNA Rising, a nonprofit empowering underserved communities. Recognized as a trailblazer in tech and honored for her leadership, Tracie combines deep technical expertise with a commitment to inclusive, future-focused innovation.

    1. Are you excited to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference, and what motivated you to join our community of 200,000 women in tech and allies?

    Absolutely. I’m excited to connect with a global network that is intentionally advancing women and allies in technology. Throughout my career, I’ve believed deeply in lifting as we climb, and this community represents collaboration, visibility, and impact at scale which are all very important to me.

    2. Share with us your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction?

    I’ve spent more than two decades leading enterprise transformation, technology modernization, and operational excellence across complex industries. My journey has been shaped by navigating spaces where women were often underrepresented, which fueled my passion for mentorship, inclusive leadership, and building environments where diverse voices influence innovation and strategy.

    3. Why is the topic “CIO as the Transformation Leader” important to you?

    Technology leaders today are no longer just operators. They truly are architects of business transformation. I’ve seen firsthand how CIOs and Senior Tech Executives can drive cultural change, improve customer and employee experiences, and align strategy with innovation. This topic reflects my belief that transformation is most successful when technology, people, and process move together with purpose.
