Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 Voices: Winner Anemari Fiser

    Reflecting on My Journey

As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?

This recognition feels like a meaningful milestone-a reflection of the work I’ve been doing over the past years to support women in tech on their growth journeys. It’s an honour to have that effort acknowledged, and it reminds me how important it is to continue creating spaces where women can grow confidently into leadership and technical roles.

    Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects

In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?

For me, the most rewarding part of working in tech is the flexibility it offers-whether in roles, skills, or opportunities. There’s always room to grow. As someone who thrives on movement and challenge, the industry has allowed me to explore a wide range of paths: from hands-on engineering, to leading tech teams, to coaching individuals, and now training other tech leads. Each step has built on the last, keeping me engaged, learning, and never bored.

    My Tech Career Milestone

Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?

Becoming a Tech Lead early in my career was a major milestone. Despite being told I needed more years of experience, I actively prepared for the role - seeking mentorship, stretching myself, and growing the right skills. When the opportunity came, I was ready. That experience shaped how I now support others in their own growth journeys.

Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips

From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?

Here are a few guiding principles I’ve learned from other women in tech and apply daily:

    • Ask for forgiveness, not permission. Keep pushing boundaries until you hit a real blocker - and then push a little more.

    • Context is everything. A “no” in one place might be a “yes” elsewhere. Don’t let your current environment limit your growth.

    • Invest in soft skills. Tech skills will only get you so far. If you want to grow fast and have real impact, soft skills are the way to go.

Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network, and why?

I’d recommend the WomenTech Network to any woman in tech - no matter the level, role, or background. There’s something valuable for everyone. I’ve been part of the community in many ways - as a speaker, coach, mentor, and mentee - and I’ve seen firsthand how much support and opportunity it offers, wherever you are in your journey.
