Reflecting on My Journey
As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?
This recognition feels deeply meaningful because it honors the kind of work that often happens quietly in the background. Much of my journey has been about building things that genuinely help people, whether it is publishing research, creating practical AI and QA tools, mentoring those just starting out, or making learning more accessible for anyone who wants to grow in tech. I have always believed that sharing knowledge openly and lifting others as you advance can create a much bigger impact than any single achievement.
Being named a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner reflects that mission. It shows that consistent effort, community minded leadership, and a commitment to making tech more inclusive and understandable truly matter. It encourages me to keep writing, teaching, designing frameworks, and creating pathways that help more people feel confident and capable in this industry. Most of all, it reminds me that meaningful change is built step by step, through service, curiosity, and the belief that when one of us rises, we can bring many others with us.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
The most rewarding part of working in tech is the ability to create meaningful change at scale while growing through constant learning. Tech moves quickly, but it also rewards curiosity, experimentation, and the courage to build solutions that did not exist before. That combination has shaped every chapter of my career.
I am especially energized by the intersection of AI and quality. My work focuses on what changes, what stays human, and how to guide teams through this shift without losing the craft or the critical thinking involved in software quality. Publishing practical guidance, documenting daily AI workflows, and helping practitioners separate hype from real value is rewarding because it lifts the entire field. When people tell me they used something I wrote to solve a real problem or to feel more confident in an emerging area, it feels like fuel.
Another rewarding aspect is community. Whether I am mentoring, hosting meetups, or sharing event recaps and templates online so people who could not attend still gain the key insights, I see how access changes lives. The most meaningful part of my work often happens outside the conference room: the messages from juniors who used my materials to land their first job, the career switchers who felt less alone because someone explained things simply, and the women who saw their experiences reflected in my writing.
Tech lets you build things that matter, but it also lets you build pathways. And that has shaped my journey more than anything else.
My Tech Career Milestone
Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
When I look back, there was never one dramatic turning point or a single magic moment that changed everything. My career has been shaped by a series of decisions, risks, and creations that collectively built the trajectory I am on today. Each step opened a new layer of impact.
This year, one of the most meaningful achievements was creating an AI powered QA Audit. It is more than a product. It is a way for resource constrained teams to finally articulate their quality challenges in a measurable, leadership friendly language. Seeing teams use the maturity score, risk map, and prioritized actions to gain visibility and support was incredibly motivating. It proved that innovation can widen access, not just efficiency, and that thoughtful tools can elevate entire teams.
Two years ago, another quiet but transformative decision was committing to building my personal brand as a form of service. I began sharing openly on social platforms, writing publications, mentoring newcomers, contributing to research, and judging at global competitions. I did not expect it to change so much, but it fundamentally shifted my impact. It allowed my experiences to reach people who would never otherwise cross paths with me. It helped students, juniors, and career switchers feel part of the conversation. It reminded me that knowledge is most powerful when it is shared without gatekeeping.
Before all of that came a decision that required courage: moving from being an employee to building my own company. Starting Anbosoft meant taking full responsibility for outcomes, values, hiring practices, and culture. It pushed me to create teams that are inclusive by design, to adopt skills first hiring, and to build structures where people from different backgrounds and time zones can contribute meaningfully. That choice changed not only my career, but my sense of purpose.
So if there is a defining moment, it is the pattern behind all these milestones. Choosing to build instead of waiting. Choosing to share instead of protecting knowledge. Choosing to create opportunities instead of accepting the limitations I inherited. Each of these steps has shaped my work, my mission, and my impact. None of them were magic pills, but together they became something meaningful.
Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips
From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
My first advice is to trust your capacity to learn. Tech evolves constantly, and no one ever feels fully ready. Confidence grows from action, not the other way around. Start before you feel prepared, and let the work teach you.
Second, build your own learning loop. Follow practitioners who share openly. Read research. Experiment with small personal projects. Write down what you learn, even if you think it is basic, because it will clarify your thinking and create a portfolio of your growth.
Third, seek communities that prioritize inclusion over perfection. A supportive network will accelerate your progress more than any accelerator program. Look for people who explain things clearly, who share resources without gatekeeping, and who celebrate your wins without comparison.
Fourth, advocate for yourself through clarity. Document your skills. Create artifacts that show your thinking. Use written reasoning when contributing to discussions. This helps level the playing field for anyone who is a non native speaker, quieter in meetings, or new to a domain. It ensures your value is visible.
Finally, remember that your perspective is a strength. Many women underestimate how their background, communication style, or lived experience improves team outcomes. Tech desperately needs diverse ways of seeing problems. What makes you feel different may be exactly what makes you impactful.
