Winning this award is both an honour and a reminder of the responsibility I carry as a leader in technology. It reflects years of persistence, learning, and stepping into roles where I could shape meaningful innovation, especially in AI. For me, this recognition is not just about individual success; it represents the collective progress of women in our industry. It reinforces my commitment to driving inclusive AI, empowering teams, and ensuring that technological progress benefits everyone. This award tells the story of a journey built on curiosity, resilience, and the belief that diverse voices make technology stronger.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
The most rewarding part of working in tech is the ability to create real, tangible impact. Technology isn’t abstract—it changes how people work, live, learn, and connect. Being at the forefront of AI allows me to solve complex problems, build transformative solutions, and help organizations unlock their own innovation potential. This sense of purpose has always guided my career. It pushed me to stay close to emerging technologies, to continuously upskill, and to take on leadership roles where I can influence strategy, empower teams, and bring bold ideas to life.
My Tech Career Milestone
Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
One defining moment was leading a large-scale AI initiative that brought together cross-functional teams from engineering, business, and product. It wasn’t just a technical success, it fundamentally changed how the organization approached AI, from experimentation to deployment at scale. Seeing people gain confidence with AI, adopt new ways of working, and unlock measurable business value was incredibly meaningful. It reaffirmed why I chose this field: technology is powerful, but people are the real force behind transformation.
Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips
From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
Here are the principles that have guided me and that I encourage every aspiring women in tech to embrace:
- Be curious, always. Technology evolves fast; curiosity is your greatest asset.
- Invest in your skills. Build a deep technical foundation, and pair it with strong communication and leadership capabilities.
- Raise your hand. Volunteer for challenging projects, they accelerate growth.
- Build your network early. Mentors, sponsors, and peers open doors you didn’t even know existed.
- Believe in your voice. Don’t shrink your ideas. The industry needs diverse perspectives to build better solutions.
- Take space, don’t wait for permission. You belong in every room where technology is being shaped.
