Reflecting on My Journey
As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?
Being recognized as a winner in the Product Leader category of the Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 is very meaningful to me. It represents not only a milestone in my own journey, but also validates the mission-driven work we’re doing at Qwoted to help journalists and media professionals access underrepresented voices and real human expertise.
Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to using technology to solve human problems, create more equitable opportunities, and build systems that connect people. At Qwoted, this has meant reshaping how experts and journalists connect. We’re challenging long-standing barriers in media access by giving a platform to diverse perspectives, emerging leaders, and subject-matter experts who traditionally haven’t had a path into the conversation.
Most of all, this award is a reminder of the progress we’re making. It gives me energy to keep pushing forward, to continue building tools that lift more voices, broaden representation in the media, and empower the next generation of experts and storytellers.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
The most rewarding part of working in tech is the ability to build something that genuinely improves people’s lives. Throughout my career, I’ve gravitated toward roles where technology can increase access, transparency, and equity. This has informed the work I do at Qwoted, where we’re constantly improving the network to connect journalists with diverse human expertise. That mission-driven focus has shaped my career and continues to fuel my work.
I also love how quickly tech allows you to learn, iterate, and turn ideas into real impact. That pace of creation, and the feeling you get from seeing feedback quickly in action, make me feel alive.
My Tech Career Milestone
Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
I have led large product releases and entire company rebrands, but for me, the most meaningful moments in tech are the small, human experiences. At ScreenPal, it was hearing how educators could continue teaching and truly connect with their students during the pandemic thanks to the tools we built. At Qwoted, it’s meeting experts whose voices were amplified through connections with journalists in ways they never imagined, and seeing media professionals succeed under tight deadlines and the other immense pressures they face. Those everyday interactions, witnessing real people benefitting from what we create, are what truly drive me and remind me why I do this work.
Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips
From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
Stay curious, ask bold questions, and grow every day. Build relationships early, seek out mentors who challenge you, and take roles that stretch your skill set. Most importantly, trust that your perspective, especially if it’s different, is a strength.

I’d encourage any woman in tech, whether you’re early in your journey or already leading teams, to join WomenTech. It’s an incredibly supportive community that offers visibility, shared learning, and genuine connection. It’s the kind of network that helps you grow and reminds you that you’re not building your career alone.
