As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?
This award means a great deal to me because it reflects both my personal journey and the collective journey of every woman who has supported and inspired me along the way. I come from a background where staying curious and adapting to change shaped who I am today. This recognition is a reminder that consistent effort, learning, and the desire to build technology that truly helps people can create a meaningful impact. It also reinforces my commitment to making AI accessible, safe, and beneficial, especially for communities that often get overlooked.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
The most rewarding part of working in tech is the ability to create something that changes someone’s daily life for the better. Whether it’s building AI solutions that solve real business problems, mentoring students, or breaking down complex concepts so others can learn — the sense of purpose keeps me motivated. This industry has influenced my career by constantly pushing me to reinvent myself, stay humble, and embrace lifelong learning. There is always a new problem to solve, a new technology to understand, and a new way to contribute.
My Tech Career Milestone
Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
A defining moment for me was the first time I saw one of my AI solutions being used at scale within the organization. Knowing that something I built — with all the iterations, failures, and learnings behind it — was now helping thousands of users was deeply moving. Another meaningful milestone was publishing my book on Generative AI, which opened doors to teaching, mentoring, and empowering more learners around the world. These moments reminded me that impact doesn’t come from a single achievement, but from showing up consistently and giving your best.
Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips
From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
My biggest advice is:
Believe in your potential even when the path feels unclear. Most breakthroughs start with uncertainty.
Build a strong foundation in skills, but also in confidence. Both are equally important.
Seek mentors and communities — don’t walk the journey alone. The right people can open doors you didn’t even know existed.
Speak up, ask questions, and never underestimate the value of your perspective. Diversity of thought is a strength in tech.
Keep learning. The industry evolves fast, but continuous learning ensures you always have a seat at the table.
