As an DevOps Engineer in the Data Experience team you will have the responsibility to ensure smooth operation and up-time of our Distributed Data services and infrastructure. Our team is devoted to solving the toughest technical challenges while implementing changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. You will work closely with Data Software Engineering teams on developing automation to streamline Operations.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Providing ongoing operational support for complex web applications operating on the portal platform and available for on-call rotation
• Solving complex problems in a timely and accurate manner through proactive troubleshooting, automation and systems programming.
• Identifying and implementing process and efficiency improvements
• Analyzing and resolving performance issues and updating stakeholders via the JIRA service desk ticketing application
• Developing proactive monitoring, alerting, and log analysis systems in production and lab environments
• Working with Customer Support team to solve customer problems

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another related field
• Have experience with large-scale content distributed systems
• Have proven experience as a systems performance/site reliability or DevOps engineer
• Develop software using Python or any scripting programming language
• Be knowledgeable in logging and monitoring tools, such as Splunk/Kibana and Prometheus/Grafana
• Have experience with writing queries and big data technologies (PostgreSQL)
• Be self-motivated, highly responsible team player, who is able to collaborate and solve problems in an ever-changing environment
