At the heart of our organisation is a commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality outcomes that create lasting value for our customers and partners. We foster a collaborative culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and partnership—core to how we operate and succeed.

As we continue to evolve our global finance operating model, controllership is increasingly focused on ownership, insight, and business partnership, rather than transactional execution.

This role represents a pivotal opportunity to be the Business Controller for our Gaming business in EMEA. You will manage the entire balance sheet and collaborate closely with senior colleagues to drive financial performance, oversee risk, and aid decision-making.

You will be at the intersection of finance operations, supply chain and commercial finance. You will bring challenge, insight, and judgement. You will lead a team of accountants who will support the operational execution. You will also be in a position to drive transformation through an upcoming ERP implementation project.

For a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys combining technical depth with commercial thinking, this is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping a modern, forward-looking controllership function.

What You'll Do

  • Own the integrity, quality, and performance of the balance sheet for the Gaming business.
  • Provide end-to-end oversight of balance sheet movements, risks, and underlying drivers, including receivables collections.
  • Review and challenge reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified, understood, and resolved.
  • Lead month-end close review, including financial commentary, variance analysis, and business sign-off.
  • Apply financial judgement across accruals, provisions, revenue recognition, and complex transactions.
  • Partner with senior team members to provide insight, challenge, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Translate financial outcomes into clear insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Ensure alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, and governance requirements.
  • Identify and proactively manage financial and balance sheet risks and exposures.
  • Manage a team of accountants ensuring operational execution and high-quality outputs.
  • Monitor important measures including working capital, balance sheet efficiency, and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement through enhanced reporting, insight, and automation of finance processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in controllership, finance business partnering, or senior accounting roles within a multinational organisation.
  • Strong expertise in balance sheet management, financial accounting, and governance.
  • Proven ability to apply financial judgement and provide commercial insight in complex environments.
  • Experience working within centralised or shared service finance models.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing capability across finance and business leadership.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as Sage, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and close/reporting tools (e.g., BlackLine, IBM Planning Analytics). Experience in implementing ERP systems is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement approach with a focus on simplification, standardisation, and automation. Experience in automating processes with AI tools is highly advantageous.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent required.
