a unique core member of the team designing and developing our middleware 

  • you extend the functionality of this Python-based middleware and Rest-API, driven by your aspiration to provide top-notch quality and stability
  • you work on our client- and server-side functionality for authentication and connection to payment providers (PayPal, Stripe), identity providers (Apple, Facebook, Google, generic OpenID Connect), and our customers’ high-traffic news products
  • you will work with our technology stack including Pyramid, Colander, Cornice, Nginx, OpenResty, Lua, Buildout, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, Gitlab, Gerrit, Jenkins, Robot Framework, JIRA
  • you improve architectural integrity of our storage, engine and web interface layers
  • you build the foundation for extended data analytics and visualization and introduce new tools to leap-frog the functional scope
  • you audit code submissions and participate in code reviews
  • you work in cross-functional agile teams and shape new product features in conception, planning, development, testing and roll-out to customers

You are a_

a Software Engineer with either a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or relevant professional experience

  • you already have several years of professional, hands-on experience with Python development
  • you have a passion for problem-solving
  • you show confidence when with working with a comparable technology stack 
  • you are interested in maintaining complex code bases and reducing technical debt
  • you are highly motivated self-starter and learner
  • you have the ambition to lead by example
  • you are fluent with written and spoken English
