Responsibilities and Duties:      

  • Technical leadership of software design in meeting requirements of service stability, reliability, scalability, and security
  • Lead discussions and drive deliverables across multiple engineering teams globally with an eye on the big picture
  • Design, develop and maintain backend infrastructure, services for enabling easy to use solutions for Calix Cloud suite of products
  • Develop solutions to support onboarding, managing, collecting, and analyzing data from large scale customer deployments
  • Work closely with Cloud product owners to understand, analyze product requirements, provide feedback, and deliver a complete solution
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team, provide internal training and support TAC team.
  • Guiding test strategy and test automation implementation in network traffic data services domain.
  • Customer facing engineering role in debugging and resolving field issues.
     

Qualifications:

  • This role may be required to travel and attend face-to-face meetings and Calix sponsored events.
  • 12-15 years of highly technical, hands-on software engineering experience with at least five years of recent Cloud experience (preferable).
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant industry standard experience to match.
  • 3 years of experience leading geographically distributed teams to successful delivery of quality solutions.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and share details to create meaningful articulation.
  • Passionate about delivering high quality software solutions and enabling automation in all phases.
  • Proficient with microservices-based, API/Endpoint architectures and orchestration.
  • Implementation background in various data processing, consumption patterns and pipelines.

Location:

  • This is a remote-based position in the United States or Canada
  • 12-15 years of highly technical, hands-on software engineering experience with at least five years of recent Cloud experience (preferable).
