We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to support and drive the Calix Cloud Customer Experience and User Experience across all Cloud SaaS solutions. You will be working on the Calix B2B Cloud Platforms and the Calix B2B Mobile apps. This position is a senior-level user experience designer role.

What you’ll do

  • Envision, influence, and design UX/UI solutions for a suite of B2B SaaS applications and a B2C iOS/Android app
  • Contribute to all aspects of product design, including information architecture, interaction design, visual design, wireframing, research, and usability.
  • Synthesize complex requirements and convert them into relevant, intuitive, easy-to-use, and accessible designs
  • Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences
  • Grow and evolve a design system of patterns, components, and styles across mobile and web
  • Assess existing information architecture and identify areas for improvement, including content inventories and audits
  • Work directly with engineers to provide product specs and assets

About you

  • You have experience in all areas of UX but you specialize in one or more of the following areas: 
    • user research and testing
    • Rapid prototyping
    • Design systems
    • UX writing
    • Accessibility
  • You are a natural communicator and have a flexible, open and approachable demeanor
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You understand the importance of researching UX trends, current design strategy, and technologies
  • You have a demonstrated track record in designing IA and UX for B2B and B2B2C products
  • Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop, etc.)
  • You are a Figma power-user
  • You have a creative and analytical mindset with a deep understanding of interacting design principles
  • You have the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams through functional requirements gathering, wireframing, UI design, implementation, and validation through data collection 
  • Participate in the agile product development process and ensure UX requirements are delivered on time 
  • Understand and articulate customer needs and synthesize data from various sources to inform product decisions, alongside good intuition, and prior experience 
  • Understand technical/business requirements of telco service provider operations, business, network design 

Qualifications: 

  • This role may be required to travel and attend face-to-face meetings and Calix sponsored events.
  • 5+ years of experience designing B2B, SaaS applications or products, and B2C mobile applications
  • Proven track record creating human-centered solutions that help maximize return on investment, build customer loyalty, increase feature adoption
  • Extensive understanding of UX principles and heuristics
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams (product, customer success, marketing engineering)
  • Must have work authorization to work in the United States and/or Canada

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, computer science, or another related discipline
  • Master's degree in human-computer interaction preferred

Location:

  • 100% Remote-based position in the United States or Canada.
