Job Summary:
As a Data Layer Engineer your mission will be to participate in innovation, design and
development of automated optimization of SQL and Big Data workloads in our Devo Technology Platform running in the cloud and on-premise as well. You will become a rockstar (if you aren’t yet) about scalability, performance, resilience, automation and data distribution.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Queries Optimization
  • Observability, Monitoring and SRE knowledge and expertise using different toolsets.
  • Implement industry-wide best practices around public and private cloud infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training and SLA for managed infrastructure and systems
  • Working with transversal teams in Infrastructure Platform, Cloud and Development

Requirements:
 

  • Strong basics in Computer science (Command on Databases and Distributed systems).
  • Experience in Cloud ecosystems preferably on AWS
  • Experience with Linux, System Administration
  • Strong in analytical, design and problem-solving skills, dive in wherever there’s a need, and learn new things
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Willing to learn and apply new technologies and tools
  • English professional proficiency

Desired:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • A deep understanding of web operations and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Knowledge of network and application performance analysis using standard UNIX tools
  • Prior experience working on database products/services as part of query optimizer or database manageability teams
