Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of large-scale, enterprise systems, ensuring robust architecture and scalability.
- Drive API development and integrate with internal and external systems to enable seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Define and enforce design standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across teams and projects.
- Make technology decisions aligned with long-term platform and business strategy.
- Utilize Generative AI tools for efficient coding, design, testing, and productivity improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative healthcare technology solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
- Ensure high-quality delivery through rigorous code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions to ensure platform reliability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to strategic technical roadmap planning.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive healthcare data and maintain compliance.
- Champion agile methodologies and drive process improvements to enhance team productivity.
- Lead R&D Initiatives: Proactively identify, scope, and execute research projects that advance healthcare technology and inform product direction.
- Technical Leadership: Set technical direction, mentor engineers on best practices, and cultivate a high-performance engineering culture.
- Full Stack Engineering: Deliver solutions across the stack, from modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React) to backend services (Node.js, Java), and database design (PostgreSQL).
- Cloud & Platform Engineering: Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS and/or Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Data and Persistence: Design and optimize data storage and access strategies to support analytics, reporting, and high-volume transactions.
- Innovation: Foster a culture of experimentation, encourage new ideas, and champion the adoption of emerging technologies.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelors ' in Engineering or Computer Science with strong background in software development.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven track record in enterprise application development and delivery of scalable, robust solutions.
- Hands-on expertise in full stack engineering: Angular and/or React (frontend); Node.js and/or Java (backend).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Mastery of version control and collaboration tools: Git, GitHub.
- Expert-level proficiency with GitHub Copilot or similar Gen-AI coding tools for productivity and innovation.
- Technology-agnostic approach to problem solving and system design.
- Demonstrated R&D leadership —initiating, executing, and publishing technical investigations or prototypes.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to security, compliance, and quality in healthcare software development.
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture, including designing, deploying, and managing scalable solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience with integration and automation using RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with digital adoption platforms and tools to drive user engagement and product success.
- Strong grasp of software design patterns and best practices for scalable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills across the full technology stack.
- Experience with containerised environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable application deployment.
Good to Have:
- Experience with microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), or event-driven architectures.
- Background in modernizing legacy enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to security, compliance, and observability tooling.
- Contributions to R&D initiatives, open source projects, or active participation in technical communities.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and governance in regulated industries.
- Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives and change management in large organizations.
