The Role

As the Global Head of Solution Engineering at Lucanet, you will build, lead, and scale a world-class Solution Engineering organization that drives revenue impact across all regions. You’ll combine deep Finance expertise with sharp commercial acumen to enable Sales teams to win complex, multi-entity deals - anchored in value creation, executive trust, and repeatable excellence.This is a hands-on global leadership role for someone who leads with credibility, clarity, and a builder’s mindset. You’ll shape the global Solution Engineering strategy, standardise value led engagement frameworks, and coach regional Solution Engineers to consistently deliver high-impact customer interactions. You’ll operate at the intersection of Sales, Product, GTM strategy and Professional Services - making bold, data-informed decisions that elevate deal quality, improve win rates, and accelerate sales cycles.

What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and scale a globally distributed Solution Engineering organisation across Europe, UK, APAC, and emerging regions.
  • Define and execute the global Solution Engineering strategy with clear revenue and performance outcomes (win rate, sales cycle, deal quality).
  • Build and empower regional SE leaders to drive consistent excellence in discovery, value storytelling, demos, and technical close motions.
  • Translate complex finance topics into compelling business value for CFOs and Finance leadership.
  • Partner closely with Cross-functional Leadership to influence deal strategy, qualification, and execution for complex, high-value opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic customer engagements to strengthen executive relationships and accelerate global deal progression.
  • Create and operationalise scalable onboarding, enablement, and certification frameworks for Solution Engineering.
  • Establish clear KPIs and operating rhythms to maximise SE productivity, predictability, and impact on revenue.
  • Take bold, data-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment, driving continuous improvement and high standards of excellence.
  • Hire and retain top-tier Solution Engineering talent globally, cultivating a high-trust, high-performance culture.

What you bring to the table

  • A background rooted in Finance (e.g., Big Four, Finance Transformation, CFO advisory, Head of Finance roles).
  • 10+ years across Finance, Consulting, and B2B SaaS, with proven leadership in Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solution Consulting.
  • Demonstrated success influencing revenue outcomes through strong value selling and pre-sales leadership.
  • Deep understanding of Office-of-the-CFO challenges, including consolidation, ESG, reporting, and compliance.
  • Executive-level presence with the ability to engage, challenge, and advise CFOs and senior Finance executives.
  • A commercial, data-driven mindset with clear impact on win rates, deal velocity, and pipeline quality.
  • Global leadership experience across diverse regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • Exceptional communication skills—translating complexity into clarity, value, and action.
  • A strategic thinker who can dive hands-on when needed to support teams and deals.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are highly beneficial.
