We are looking for an Associate Applications Engineer to join our growing team in Dundee. You bring a technical background coupled with a curious and inquisitive mindset. You are a creative problem solver, an avid learner, and a strong communicator. You will work with various teams within the Partner Success Department to ensure that our partners can effectively use our product solutions to unearth more value for their MSP business.


What You'll Do

  • Deliver an excellent, low‑friction support experience by combining strong technical expertise, structured problem‑solving, and effective communication.
  • Build and maintain trusted partner relationships by proactively understanding partner businesses, technology stacks, and product usage.
  • Provide technical guidance and advisory support to ensure partners realise maximum value from N‑able solutions.
  • Lead advanced onboarding, migrations, and complex implementations, analysing partner needs and determining effective technical solutions.
  • Identify and articulate opportunities for partners to further leverage the N‑able platform to improve outcomes and efficiency.
  • Act as a technical advocate and leader, representing partner needs in discussions with Product and Development and supporting team upskilling.
  • Design custom solutions—including monitoring, automation, and reporting—while leveraging MSP and competitor knowledge to support migrations and accurately document engagements.

 


What You'll Bring

  • A proactive and curious mindset, with the ability to engage partners, ask insightful questions, and explore their unique business and technical needs
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, file structure, registry, and event logs
  • Good knowledge in scripting, automation, networking and virtualisation
  • Prior experience supporting a Remote Monitoring and/or PSA solutions a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively speak to complex topics and consult with partners on their individual needs
  • Strong self-management skills and outstanding customer service skills
  • Proven experience with VMware, ESXi and Google Workspace will be a distinct advantage in this role.
