Job Summary
The Partner Technical Lead (PTL) is the technical lead for assigned Partners. Working in collaboration with the entire Partner team, the PTL is responsible for understanding the long-term vision, business challenges, how NetApp's portfolio can play a part, owns the technical aspects of the development plan and delivers technical solutions that drive NetApp products, solutions and services inclusion in Partner-led opportunities.
Business Objective:
• Develop joint offering w/Partner that includes NetApp products, solutions, and services.
• Assist in driving revenue with Partner by working with Strategic Partner extended org in their pursuits.
• Align with broader Partner sales team direction for Partner
• Ensure and manage a portfolio play that reflects NetApp's complete opportunities
Specific areas of Responsibilities:
• Build relationship, and understand Partners' capabilities against the must win areas, strategic goals, and key market trends
• Activate the Partner sales force by briefing with the technical executives at the Partner to ensure that they are up-to-date on the latest advances and solutions that NetApp brings to market
• Work with partner to develop joint solutions that include NetApp products, solutions, and services
• Work with channel development, channel marketing and sales functions to develop and execute a co-ordinated approach to partner development
• Orchestrate and align extended team members across NetApp, in order to see to joint strategy execution
• Promote Partner's capabilities within the NetApp field
• Support NetApp's sellers identifying opportunities where offerings, services and solutions from Partner can be positioned
• Develop, streamline and maintain relationships with NetApp's technical leadership in the Geo
• Be actively involved in guiding Partners to shape, create and deliver compelling Customer Demand generation activities, leveraging channel sales and marketing when appropriate
• Collaborate with other PTLs at the Area and Geo levels to ensure comprehensive and consistent delivery of enablement activity
• Create and execute a comprehensive set of workshops that meet the needs of local channel partners
• Share workshop content with peers across APAC to ensure efficient re-use and enable the co-operative development of material
• Engage subject matter experts from the wider SE and APAC SA teams to support the delivery of enablement activity
• Attend Quarterly Business Reviews and lead the discussion around technical status (education, gap with NetApp Partner Program and actions plan)
• Innovate, create and execute events and activities that supplement the core enablement activity when the need for such is identified
• Articulate our value proposition across a wide range of individuals and job functions within nominated channel partner staff including pre- and post-sales, sales and technical and business leadership.
• Be an advocate of NetApp to channel partners and vice-versa
Job Requirements
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions.
• Must have an aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
• Must have a good understanding of all aspects of Data center Infrastructure, hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud and workloads (AI, DevOps..)
• Ability to build relationships and exercise influence with individuals in external organisations.
• English skillset is preferred
Education
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as an individual contributor within IT
• A Bachelor degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or related fields is desirable
• Experience which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in technical specifications required to articulate the value of NetApp products and services is preferred
• Experience work with, or within Channel Partners or Systems Integrators highly desirable
