This role focuses on developing Rules and Guidelines for Lashing equipment certification and being the reference person for RINA Lashing software.

Key Accountabilities
- Developing Rules and Guidelines for Lashing Equipment certification.
- Supporting on developing and maintaining RINA technical software Lashing related.
- Involving in Plan Approval activities with special focus on Container Vessel and Lashing Certification.
- Assisting clients during the design and manufacturing phase, providing guidance and support with respect to Class Rules and Statutory Regulations.
- Performing assessments and provide specialist advice for service delivery, research or development work within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements where necessary also for consulting activites.
- Understanding and apply project management concepts and providing feedback to project manager with a proactive approach.
- Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to resolve design conflicts.
Education
Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in plan approval for container vessels and lashing
Professional background as a lashing specialist
Strong understanding of lashing systems and container vessel structures
Advanced knowledge of finite element theory and FEM software (e.g., Nastran or comparable tools)
Basic programming skills are considered an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluent in written and spoken English (German is a plus)
Great communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and under tight deadlines
Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
Structured working style with the ability to follow established systems and procedures
