Our new Software Organization was created to build the most captivating experiences on the latest frontier of Automotive Technology.

The Team:

This role is remote or hybrid (Paris or Detroit), and for the Advanced AI Engineering team within the Software AI team. We are looking for passionate, curious and entrepreneurial engineers to join our team to work on special projects (e.g., to demonstrate our AI capabilities in concept cars, including Jeep, Dodge and Maserati concept cars), to prototype our next generations of AI systems (e.g., which sensors for our autonomous vehicles?), and to upskill our internal workforce (e.g., we are building collaborations with some of the top universities in the US and France, and we want to disseminate the latest AI research across Stellantis) . You will be working with a kind, dynamic, diverse and diverse team across the world (e.g., Paris, San Francisco, Detroit, Turin) with many complementary skillsets.

We are looking for engineers and scientists with the following competencies:

  • Machine learning
  • Data engineering
  • Distributed systems
  • Embedded systems
  • 3D visualization

You will be responsible for some of the following:

  • Build quick prototypes of AI systems in the cloud or at the edge (car, mobile phone) to demonstrate new capabilities
  • Support our brands by powering our concept cars with AI
  • Produce new intellectual property to advance our technological edge
  • Evangelize AI within the company and outside the company via innovative technology demonstrations to build the Stellantis AI brand
  • And … something that we may not have thought of

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical maturity of a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (e.g., Python and/or C++) and databases
  • Experience with the full machine learning (including deep learning) pipeline
  • Fierce advocate for software engineering good practices (e.g., test-driven development, version control, documentation)
  • Passion for solving unstructured problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of software engineering industry experience; and/or
  • Experience in computer vision, multi-sensor fusion, mobile robotics, 3D visualization, distributed systems, embedded systems for ADAS (e.g., ROS) and/or mapping
  • Experience in implementing the latest applied research to build prototypes
