Your challenge:

As an Engineering Manager at Taxfix, you’ll be a key part of our talented Platform team which works on the key technology enabling us to scale globally as an organisation. You will support our teams to have maximum impact. As a leader, you will manage our software engineering teams within this group; helping them to deal with challenges, defining engineering processes and bringing clear business context to your teams.

Your team:

The Platform team is composed of software engineers with a passion for internal tooling. We offer an internal development platform to our developers. One of the important aspects of the developer platform is the strategy and tooling. We're passionate about decentralised, end-to-end ownership and deep collaboration. We live our development values by learning from one another through internal meet ups, hackathons, and close collaboration. By joining our Platform Team you’ll work alongside our developers and testing specialists to improve our testing infrastructure and benefit our development teams and users!

Your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our Product Manager and Product Designer to plan and execute the product roadmap.
  • Create a delivery plan for your team with inputs from product and engineering
  • Work with Tech Leads within the group to ensure alignments, and connect them with other groups to ensure the successful execution of the overall product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers to drive improvements to the engineering organization.
  • Be responsible for the success and personal growth of all engineers working within your product group.
  • Grow a strong team culture that cultivates a collaborative, transparent and inclusive work environment.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the right engineering work environment (e.g. tools, documentation, processes), and contribute to a shared technical vision that embraces the beauty of simplicity in software design.
  • Own the recruiting process of new engineers in the group and ensure we acquire the best talents.


Your profile:

  • Technology background - You must have 8+ years of experience working on software development and have experience working with backend and frontend services.
  • People leadership - You enjoy working with people and have a track record for building and leading teams in a motivated and dynamic environment.
  • Management skill - You have 3+ years of experience in a management role, responsible for a team of at least 10 members.
  • Be result-oriented - You set clear goals and metrics, shape strategies, and align the team on the right path to success.
  • You are pragmatic - Have a strong positive attitude, and overcome challenges with passion and creativity.
  • You promote diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in the workplace - Have empathy, be familiar with business practices that promote fairness and you value a team environment that invites new perspectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Security/User Management experience is a plus.
