Social Media is tricky, and creates the ultimate balancing act. It’s tempting to mimic others who seem to “have it all figured out,” but true connection happens when we share from our lived experiences. For me, that realization came unexpectedly , through my daughter’s obsession with Pokémon. Watching her dive into that world with curiosity, creativity, and zero hesitation reminded me of what authentic engagement looks like: showing up fully, learning out loud, and finding joy in discovery. That experience inspired me to rewrite my book The Trainer’s Playbook and start sharing more openly on LinkedIn, blending thought leadership with the everyday moments of life (even the messy ones). Because whether we’re evolving as leaders, parents, or professionals, authenticity is what builds true connection. So my advice? Don’t mute your voice to fit a template , your real self is the rare card everyone’s hoping to find.
