When I had to take a career break due to my work auth renewal, I had used this time to close any gaps in my skills that I ever felt or got bothered with. Especially for my role in data, it is very important to understand the business logic, domain knowledge alongside technical skills. I utilised this time to read non technical books whenever I wanted a break from my up-skilling activities. That gave me a new perspective and refreshed mind to deal with the break. A career break is only a "break in experience" if you think so. If you decide to create an impact with your skills, you will never be defined by a break nor will your worth be tied to any company.
