We are seeking an innovative global growth leader to drive sales growth and global market expansion for the ITCS business unit. Calian ITCS is a diverse team that spans across North America with offices in Ottawa, Toronto, Houston, Excelsior, Minnesota, and St. Petersburg, Florida. The ITCS team supports a broad range of customers including the Canadian government, healthcare, manufacturing, oil and gas, and retail to name a few. ITCS provides three distinct solution areas: XaaS, Cybersecurity, and OnDemand staffing. Each solution area provides a broad range of offerings that enable Calian to cross sell into other areas of our four-piston engine making it a strong profitable business centre for Calian Group.

This role is accountable to the CEO for the strategic direction and delivering on the targets for Calian’s IT and Cyber Solutions business unit. The ITCS President works closely and collaborates with our other 3 business units, reinforcing the ‘One Calian’ story and position. This role is responsible for the overall management of new and existing solutions and services to maintain and advance the company’s competitive position and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Define and set the IT and Cyber Solution’s vision for the future in conjunction with the CEO, as well as operational and strategic goals and objectives
  • Integrate corporate goals into the business planning activities of the business unit
  • Forecast business trends, identifying key opportunities and risks that have the potential to impact profitability
  • Organize and develop a diverse and talented team to deliver on corporate and business unit goals, implement strategy on attracting and retaining talent, and develop and implement succession planning throughout the business unit
  • Develop, and implement short and long-range business plans to achieve growth targets while minimizing associated risks
  • Leverage team expertise to identify and develop new solutions or services to meet competitive challenges and market opportunities
  • Design and implement appropriate decision-making structures that are responsive to the dynamics of the business
  • Critically examine succession plans including the performance of staff and implement development plans and modify as required
  • Identify, implement, and articulate the values and objectives critical to the team’s success
  • Establish and ensure that the team operates within corporate policy guidelines
  • Participate as part of the senior leadership team (SLT) and an official of the broader company
  • Retain a strong business unit through appropriate levels of senior management and collaborate with other business units to cross sell products and services
  • Actively engage with customers and prospects to ensure a strong retention model that enables reliable and profitable recurring revenue

 

Qualifications

  • 10 years’ leadership experience in a small to mid-sized publicly traded company
  • 5 years’ experience working in a cybersecurity environment.
  • Positive energy with a team first mentality and a focus on a great customer experience.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and engage the best and the brightest talent, and develop teams to their fullest potential
  • Demonstrated leadership with integrity, teamwork, innovation, and strong customer commitment
  • Strong understanding of the domestic and international IT and Cyber Solutions industry, competitive landscape, including global developments and strategies to address competitive risks and maximize competitive advantages
  • Experience driving profitable growth while maintaining a strong EBITA position
  • Demonstrated success building profitable reoccurring revenue streams
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to lead and grow a business with a P&L mindset
  • Experience leading with strong business and financial acumen that has leveraged M&A models to grow and capture industry market share
  • An understanding of product development and solution selling in a modern environment
