Position Overview:

For our Global Delivery Center, we are looking for a Java Back-End developer to join the Marketing Technology (MarTech) team. We are a company with one of the most recognizable portfolios of brands in the world and our marketing practices have been setting the industry standards for decades.

The ideal candidate would join us to help scale our Global Consumer Engagement Platform and will be working on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) product writing top-quality code and building a solid foundation of industry best practices for web development. This role will play a vital role in building and designing rich and engaging web experiences, digital promotions, and interactive web applications that provide value to consumers worldwide. 

What You’ll Do For Us:

  • Develop and maintain web applications including, coding, testing and/or unit testing, test automation, and documentation

  • Maintain a high level of proficiency with web development knowledge and contribute to the technical skills growth of other team members

  • Develop industry and product technical expertise

  • Participate in and adhere to professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies such as Agile Software Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Deployment, Source Code Management

  • Troubleshoot issues when working with different web technologies

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Java web development

  • Working with data such as Relational Databases, JSON, XML, and Rest APIs

  • Strong Java and backend technology experience in JCR, OSGi, and Apache Sling

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (Jenkins/Maven/GitHub)

  • Experience with public clouds such as Azure or AWS (S3, Lambda, etc.) strongly preferred

  • Experience with GIT code repositories, DevOps best practices, and working with automation tools

  • Experience with Agile methodology and iterative development

  • Strong written/oral English communication skills

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience implementing AEM solutions

  • Built sites using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) version 6.4 and above

  • Proficiency with AEM Components, Dialogs, Templates, ClientLibs, and Fragments

  • Developing AEM templates and components leveraging the AEM Sightly/HTL framework

  • Basic understanding of cloud services and serverless architecture

  • Basic understanding of programming paradigms (object-oriented, functional, event-driven, etc.) and their applications

  • Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Basic understanding of Agile Development practices, Scrum, Test, and Behavior Driven Development, Domain Driven Design

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related degree, or equivalent practical experience
