The opportunity

Credera UK is looking for a Managing Director to drive our commercial growth across key accounts  e.g. manufacturing, and retail. This is a senior leadership role within the business, responsible for identifying new opportunities and leading on existing propositions. 

Based out of any of our UK offices, this is a permanent role within our Sales & Marketing function.  We consider flexible ways of working, that allow the best outcomes for our people and clients.  Working closely with our clients is key to successful outcomes, and so travel both UK and international is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop ‘new logo’ sales and lead the strategy and implementation of Credera services through a combination of your own network and leveraging wider business relationships, to generate consulting revenue of circa £3-4m annually.
  • Maintain a strong network of potential clients in positions with the authority to buy Credera services.
  • Work collaboratively with other Credera teams to drive our business strategy, new capabilities, and value propositions.
  • Contribute to the production of business plans, including agreement on revenue targets and recruitment profile.
  • Build Credera's and personal eminence in the market, through thought leadership, public speaking and by achieving positive outcomes for our clients and Credera.
  • Develop and inspire our talent through coaching, mentoring and promoting Credera values of: Excellence, Integrity, People First, Tenacity and Humility within our firm and at our clients.

The successful candidate

We expect the successful candidate to evidence the following:

  • You will have worked in a technology consultancy, in a business development role. You therefore understand and can articulate the range of technology services and capabilities we offer to our clients using a consultative style .
  • Demonstrable experience of originating and closing new logo client sales work. Candidates should have a track record of managing and developing significant client accounts.
  • Delivered complex technology programmes and projects with multi-million-pound budgets and significant team sizes.
  • An extensive personal network in one or more of the following sectors: Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG, Services. This network should include senior IT, C-level and potential clients that have substantial IT spend.
  • Experience of working in and navigating highly complex, political and matrix environments.
  • A full range of strategic and management skills, and credibility, that allows you to gain the trust of C-level and senior clients.
  • The ability to understand, explain and present complex ideas to audiences at all levels in a persuasive and convincing manner.
  • A collaborative and open style, working with the broader firm to achieve sector sales targets.
  • Comfortable attending networking events and public speaking, supporting Credera's overall brand profile.
  • A practical understanding of Credera's capabilities, and the ability to tailor these to specific client needs and problems.

In addition, you will likely possess the following characteristics:

  • Perceptive, personable, culturally sensitive and demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a matrix organisation and manage and nurture varied, senior stakeholder relationships. 
  • A collaborative, creative and open style, working with the broader firm to achieve sector sales targets.
  • Comfortable attending networking events and confident in public speaking situations, supporting Credera's overall brand profile.
